How to plastic weld a boot on grass catcher

HOW TO PLASTIC WELD

BOOT ON GRASS CATCHER

·      USING THE MINI-WELD MODEL 6 PLASTIC WELDER

I was unable to find the price of this item.

It cost around $15 to fix.

1.     Make sure work area is clean and well ventilated. Use caution when using the mini-weld plastic welder. The plastic welder is hot and can burn you and can cause a fire.

2.     Set the plastic welder to pre heat and set welder in stand.

3.     Clean the part to be welded.

4.     There is a large missing piece of plastic.

5.     I looked for a symbol on this part, I couldn’t find one. So I used the uni-flex welding rod  the color match was ok and it sticks to a lot of different types of plastic.

6.     Set the heat of the welder to uni-flex welding rod.

7.     I put stainless steel mesh (this comes with the mini-weld model 6 kit) to fill the void.

8.     First I spot welded the mesh in place.

9.     Then I adjusted the mesh to fit the void.

10. I used uni-flex fiber rod to fill void.

11. I filled the void on front and back. The stainless steel wire mesh will give the break more strength. Let the heat from the plastic welder do most of the work for you.

12. Try to smooth out the weld as much as possible.

13. Using a wet rag. Cool the welded part and began to sand it down.

14. I use 60 grit sand paper at the start. This should take most of the bumps down. Then I go to 180 grit sand paper to make it smooth.

15. Now I make sure the part fits back on the mower. If it doesn’t I can either sand it more or use the welder to make adjustments to part. If you would like to see befor and after pictures go to kandjwarehouse.com

Tell me...if your hair straightener doesn't have an adjustable heat setting, is it crap?

I have a Zoe Professional Styling Iron which I bought at Ulta. It's supposedly a $130.00 value for $29.99 [the price I bought at], but I highly doubt that a $130.00 hair straightener will come without an adjustable heat setting. I have to admit, the iron is extremely cute, but it kinda burned my mom's hair a little [it heats up to 410 degrees F, but some say it can go up to 430]. Should I keep this iron?

Chi straighteners dont have adjustable heat and they work really well i think it just matters on the brand

Utility Iron Wood

How long should the shaft for a utility club be?

Should the shaft length be that of a fairway wood, that of the iron the it replaces, or something different? I can't find any utility club shaft length charts. I tend to think it should be that of an iron.

I am using a 19 degree hybrid which is about 1 inch longer than the 3 iron I previously used. Makes no difference and gives me little more grip to use. I bought a hybrid with a steel shaft [to see how it would perform] replacing my graphite shafted 3. The steel shaft is excellent, more consistent shots and greater accuracy.I now think I should go back to steel in my next set. Give up a bit of distance for more accuracy.
