I just purchased a set of Calloway Big Bertha Irons,4-PW and a A wedge,used from a reputable dealer,The salesman said that they were last years model but didn't have any more information on them.
I looked for 07 Big Bertha Irons on-line and couldn't find anything listed,they look like the 06 model.Long story short...Is there a difference between 06 and 07 in Big Bertha??

To verify which model and year it is, look on the hosel of the club head on the 5 or 7 iron for the serial number, and call Callaway with the number, they'll give you the info on the clubs. Then you could ask them on the differences between what you have and other years.

I am really interested in getting into golf a little more heavily but am very terrible at the sport. I am looking at playing a little more often and have purchased a set of used irons and a putter that i am happy with. all that leaves is a new driver which i need help choosing.
At the moment i am eyeing off a Taylor Made Titanium 10.5 degree driver with Bubble R80 plus Regular flex graphite shaft, it is a second hand club that has a few minor cosmetical imperfections but otherwise seems to be a pretty stable club, plus it is only selling for $25.
What i would like to know is, is this a decent begginer club for someone who doesn't want to spend the earth for a "first" driver or should i opt for something different? If so could you guys give me some examples of decnt priced clubs that would better suit me?

The best advice that I could give you is to see if any golf shops in your area are having a demo days in the near future. This will give you the opportunity to try out many different clubs and find out what you like and dislike. After you find a club that you like do a little searching to see where you can find it for the best price.
